Overview and Classification of Butterfly Valves

I. Overview of butterfly valves

The butterfly valve is a kind of valve which uses circular opening piece to rotate back and forth. The butterfly valve is opened, closed and regulated by brand seal and metal pair about 90. It is attached to or around the butterfly plate. The element belongs to two types of sealing. Elastic sealing valves, sealing rings can be embedded in the threshold body in the valve design and gold, rubber, plastic industry experts close cooperation, joint efforts, many kinds of synthetic rubber dividend plastic materials for elastic sealing have been developed. After repeated use, to ensure closure performance. Therefore, the selection range of garden seat materials is expanded, and the application range of butterfly valve is also expanded.

The structure and principle of the valve are suitable for making large caliber valves. Now it can produce butterfly valves with diameters up to 10 meters for tidal water and oceanic thermal energy conversion system. The larger butterfly valves are under development. Butterfly valves are widely used not only in petroleum, gas, chemical industry, water treatment and other general industries, but also in condensers and cooling water systems of thermal power plants.

Classification of butterfly valve

1. Classification by structural form

(1) Butterfly valve with central seal.

(2) Single eccentric sealed butterfly valve.

(3) Double eccentric sealed butterfly valve.

(4) Tri-eccentric sealed butterfly valve.

2. Classification according to sealing surface material

(1) Soft-sealed butterfly valve.

1) The sealing pair is composed of non-metallic soft material and non-metallic soft material.

2) The sealing pair is composed of metal hard material and non-metal soft material.

(2) Metal hard seal butterfly valve. The sealing pair is composed of metal hard material to metal hard material.

3. Classification by seal form

(1) Forced sealing butterfly valve.

1) Flexible sealing butterfly valve. Sealing specific pressure is generated by the elasticity of the valve seat, seat or disc when the valve closes.

2) Butterfly valve with external torque seal. Sealing specific pressure is generated by the torque applied to the valve shaft.

(2) Pressure-filled sealing butterfly valve. Sealing specific pressure is generated by the filling of elastic sealing elements on the seat or disc.

(3) Automatic sealing butterfly valve. Sealing specific pressure is automatically generated by medium pressure.

4. Classification by working pressure

(1) Vacuum butterfly valve. Butterfly valve with working pressure below standard atmospheric pressure.

(2) Low pressure butterfly valve. Nominal Pressure PN Butterfly Valve of 1.6MPa.

(3) Medium pressure butterfly valve. Butterfly valves with nominal pressure PN of 2.5-6.4 MPa.

(4) High pressure butterfly valve. Butterfly Valve with Nominal Pressure PN of 10.0~80.OMPa

(5) Super high pressure butterfly valve. Nominal pressure PN IOOMPa butterfly valve.

5. Classification by working temperature

(1) High temperature butterfly valve. T 450'C butterfly valve.

(2) Medium temperature butterfly valve. 120C "f < 450'C butterfly valve".

(3) Butterfly valves at room temperature. A 40C butterfly valve with foot < 120'C.

(4) Low temperature butterfly valve. A 100C butterfly valve f < 140'C.

(5) ultra-low temperature butterfly valve. T "A 100'C butterfly valve".

6. Classification by connection

(1) butterfly valve with pair clamps.

(2) Flange butterfly valve.

(3) butterfly butterfly valve with support ear.

(4) Welded butterfly valve.
