How to detect the leakage of water supply pipeline? Answer: leak detection methods include leak detection, hearing loss and instrument detection.

1) Leak detection is to check the leakage. The open water supply pipe only needs to check the floor, wall, ground and other places where the pipe passes for water dripping, wetting and other phenomena, then it can quickly find out the water leakage point and repair it in time. When there is a large amount of water leakage in the buried water supply pipeline, generally there is a spring like small stream of water flowing up from the ground at the leakage point, or there is local ground subsidence, wet section in sunny days, and local ice and snow melting earlier than the surrounding in winter.

2) Listening to leakage is to use a metal listening rod. When people are quiet at night, insert one end of the listening rod into the ground where the pipeline may pass, or touch the valve and fire hydrant, and the other end is close to the ear. Listen to the leakage carefully according to experience. The closer the leakage point is, the greater the leakage will be. When listening to leakage, you can listen to it every 4-8M along the place where the pipeline passes. In case of leakage, stop moving forward, and then find the place with the largest sound to determine the leakage point.

3) It has many advantages, such as high sensitivity, accurate leak detection, no damage to the ground, simple operation and so on. There are many kinds of instruments to detect water leakage. The instrument can not only detect water leakage, but also detect oil leakage of underground communication cables and oil pipelines, natural gas pipelines and so on. How to repair the water supply pipeline?

Answer: when the leakage position of pipe valve is found out, analyze the cause of water leakage and adopt different methods for maintenance according to the situation.

1) The reason of water leakage or seepage of indoor water supply pipe is generally that the pipe joint is not tight or the corrosion is serious. Most of the serious corrosion occurred at the threaded joint or buried part. In case of water leakage caused by loose threaded joints or pipe fittings, the local pipe sections shall be removed, and the packing shall be added again for tightening, or the pipes shall be replaced; the welded connecting pipes can be blocked by repair welding; the pipes with serious corrosion shall be replaced immediately. When there is water leakage at the flange connection, the gasket is generally faulty. At this time, find out the problem of gasket first, and repair or replace the gasket. If no gasket problems are found, the flange face should be carefully inspected for defects.

Generally, there is no leakage during installation and acceptance, but the later leakage may be caused by uneven bolt tightening force during flange disassembly and assembly, or the two flanges are misaligned. At this time, the adjustment shall be carried out again according to the specified operation procedure. In case of leakage during the use of rubber seal, the joint surface must be cleaned as required after disassembly and maintenance, and the glue liquid shall be applied again. After the solvent volatilizes, the connecting bolts shall be tightened in sequence, and then the pressure shall be checked and tested until no leakage occurs.
