Thermal static drain Valve-3

Bimetallic drain valve

For bimetallic steam trap, if more condensate needs to be discharged, the valve head should be further away from the valve seat; if the bulkhead needs to be further away from the valve seat, the condensate temperature should be lower. Therefore, for the system with large amount of condensate, the operating temperature of the drain valve will be correspondingly reduced, which means that the response of this type of drain valve to the change of process load is very slow, because the drain speed of the drain valve is from the temperature of rated flow

Degree decision. The speed of condensate in the drainage process of bimetallic drain valve is very slow, because it takes time for condensate cooling and bimetallic reaction.

There are various structures of bimetallic steam trap. Note that in these examples, the head is downstream of the seat. In the bimetal design of "downstream reading head", when the bimetal is heated, the force generated by the bimetal is to pull the valve head upward. At this time, the direction of the force generated by the bimetal is opposite to the direction of the force exerted by the steam on the head. For drain valves designed with downstream reading head, if the system back pressure rises, the back pressure will assist the valve head to move towards the valve seat. Therefore, compared with the time before the back pressure increases, the closing time of the valve will be earlier, and the drain temperature of the drain valve will be reduced. In other words, the rise of back pressure will lead to a large amount of condensate accumulation, which will affect the heating effect of the system.

Upstream valve in bimetal steam trap. Its operation is similar to that of the downstream, but please note that the steam pressure helps the valve to close; at the same time, it should be noted that the increase of back pressure has a very weak impact on the valve head. Therefore, the bimetallic steam trap with upstream valve structure has good stability and is less affected by system fluctuation.

Bellows drain valve

The inner membrane box of membrane trap is a temperature sensing element made of special materials. It has high pressure resistance, strong water hammer resistance and high sensitivity to temperature, so it is sensitive to action. The bellows type drain valve controls the opening and closing of the valve by the state of the temperature sensing liquid in the bellows. It is small in volume and large in displacement. It can work normally in a wide range of pressure changes. It is widely used in various steam equipment, steam tracing and heating systems, and can be installed at any angle.
