Basic definition of safety valves
1) safety valve: an automatic valve, which can discharge a rated amount of fluid without any external force and with the force of the medium itself, so as to prevent the pressure in the system from exceeding the predetermined safety value. A valve that automatically closes and stops the flow of media when the pressure returns to normal.
When specified in the standard, an additional energy source can be used to drive the safety valve
2) direct load type safety valve: a safety valve that directly uses mechanical load such as heavy hammer, lever weight or spring to overcome the force generated by the medium pressure under the disc.
3) safety valve with power assist device: with the aid of a power assist device, the safety valve can be opened below the normal set pressure. Even if the auxiliary device fails, such valves shall still meet the requirements of this standard.
4) safety valve with supplementary load: before the pressure at its inlet reaches the set pressure, the safety valve always maintains an additional force to enhance the sealing. The additional force (supplementary load) can be provided by external energy, and it shall be released reliably when the safety valve reaches the set pressure. Its size shall be set in such a way that when the additional force is not released, the safety valve can still reach the rated displacement under the premise that the inlet pressure does not exceed the percentage of the set pressure specified by the national regulations.
5) lever type safety valve: a safety valve that controls the opening and closing of the valve by using the force loaded on the valve by the heavy hammer through the lever, so as to play the role of pressure relief protection.
6) spring type safety valve: a safety valve that controls the opening and closing of the valve by using the force loaded on the valve by the compression pre tightening force of the compression spring, so as to play the role of pressure relief protection.
7) pilot type safety valve: a safety valve driven or controlled by the medium discharged from the pilot valve. The pilot valve itself shall be a direct load type safety valve meeting the requirements of the standard.
8) full open safety valve: a safety valve whose opening height is equal to or greater than 1 / 4 of the valve seat throat diameter.
9) micro lift safety valve: the safety valve with valve opening height of 1 / 40 ~ 1 / 20 of valve seat throat diameter.
10) bellows balanced safety valve: a safety valve that uses bellows to balance back pressure to keep the opening pressure unchanged.
11) double spring type safety valve: two spring type safety valves are connected in parallel and have the same inlet safety valve group.
12) switching type safety valve: two spring type safety valves are connected in parallel, and only one valve can be selectively cut in for operation, the other valve is waiting for use, with the same inlet safety valve group.
